cartagena padraominiA little less than four months after the launch of the TICAL and the 2nd Latin American e-Science Meeting calls (closed on Monday, June 11), the Program Committee of the events disclosed the number of received proposals: There were 175 in total; 133 of TICAL and 42 of the Meeting of e-Science. Colombia, with 49 proposals, and Ecuador, with 37, were the most participatory countries, followed by Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina.

The papers will now be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and on June 29 the selected ones will be notified. The chosen ones will receive the support of the organization to participate in the Conferences; as in its previous editions, both TICAL and the e-Science Meeting will cover the cost of transferring one of the responsible researchers* of the selected papers to the venue of the meeting (Cartagena de Indias, Colombia).

TICAL2018 and the 2nd Latin American Meeting of e-Science will be held between September 3 and 5, at the Las Americas Convention Center, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
