The second inspirational talk will take place on March 26 as part of the Call for Ideas organized by the SPIDER project and RedCLARA. The session aims to drive further the collaborative creation of projects and ventures that leverage BELLA’s infrastructure for digital transformation between the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
This edition will feature Carla Osthoff, the National High-Performance Computing Center (CENAPAD) coordinator at Brazil’s National Laboratory for Scientific Computing (LNCC). Osthoff will present a talk titled "The Brazilian Supercomputing System in the HPC and AI Landscape in Latin America and Europe," where she will explore the role of high-performance computing in advancing research, innovation, and the development of cutting-edge technological solutions.
The event seeks to inspire researchers, entrepreneurs, and creatives to develop initiatives that use advanced connectivity networks, high-performance computing (HPC), and emerging technologies to generate impact across various fields of knowledge.
The Call for Ideas remains open until April. It will allow selected participants to connect with investors and key players in the digital ecosystem, receive personalized mentoring, participate in webinars, and present their proposals at the closing event.
