One of the major aims behind the BELLA Programme has been the union of Latin America and Europe through a submarine cable of very high capacity and very low latency, benefiting science, research and education collaboration and development between both regions. Now, thanks to the excellent work carried out by EllaLink we arestarting to achieve that goal and closing the connectivity gap thanks to 6000km of digital data highway.

During the European evening and the Latin American morning, at 16:30 CET, the BELLA Programme and its submarine and terrestrial components will be highlighted by the CEO’s of RedCLARA and GÉANT at the “International Partnerships For The Digital Decade” session.
