The EU-LAC launches a second call to boost digital businesses in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean

The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, part of the European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean (EU-LAC) Digital Alliance, has launched its second "Open Call for Digital Businesses," focused on CleanTech and Smart Production technologies. Open until October 30, 2024, the call offers customized acceleration services valued at up to €40,000 for companies and startups seeking international expansion.

The Digital Alliance facilitates connections through its Matching platform, which brings together over 1,000 stakeholders from Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Interested companies and startups must register, share their challenges and solutions, and meet the selection criteria to submit their application.

Participating digital businesses must consist of at least one established company and one innovative startup or SME from different regions. They are required to sign a formal agreement to demonstrate their partnership. The application and participant guide are available on the Open Call website. The first edition selected 8 partnerships from 18 applications in the Smart Production category.

The Digital Accelerator is one of the four pillars of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance, alongside BELLA II, the Copernicus Earth Observation Program, and high-level dialogues on digital policies and regulations.

Signed in March 2023 in Colombia, the EU-LAC Digital Alliance is part of the Global Gateway strategy and aims to achieve inclusive digital transformation in the region.
