The Copernicus Academy Costa Rica will host an in-person workshop on Tuesday, November 26, with the goal of fostering cross-sector collaboration and promoting innovative solutions to drive the country's sustainable development.
During the event, participants will learn about the Copernicus program’s services and their application in strategic decision-making to enhance efficiency and sustainability in key areas such as agriculture and environmental management. The workshop will also serve as a forum for exchanging ideas on how Costa Rica can implement these tools to generate positive impacts across various sectors.
This workshop is part of ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between local expertise and the use of Earth observation data, focusing on capacity building and knowledge management within the country. The Copernicus Academy Costa Rica, under the leadership of RedCLARA and with co-funding from the European Union, is incorporating advanced data usage in crucial sectors to bolster the sustainable development of the region.
Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth Observation Program, provides satellite- and in situ-based data to support sustainability and informed decision-making for the benefit of society.
This event offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration among diverse stakeholders and advance toward a more sustainable and resilient future for Costa Rica.
