BELLA: A Key Driver of Connectivity and Supercomputing in Latin America

During its participation in the SC24 International Conference in Georgia, USA, from November 17 to 22, RedCLARA reaffirmed its leadership in strengthening the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean. At this global forum, the organization highlighted the transformative impact of the BELLA and BELLA II projects, co-funded by the European Union (EU). These initiatives have expanded digital interconnection capacity, promoted scientific collaboration, and strengthened open science and advanced technologies in the region.

The Copernicus Academy Guatemala Ideathon seeks innovative solutions for risk management in the Motagua River Basin

From January 20 to 29 of the upcoming year, the Copernicus Academy Guatemala will host a virtual Ideathon to develop innovative solutions aimed at preventing risks in the Motagua River Basin. Leveraging satellite data from the European Union's (EU) Earth Observation Program, Copernicus, the event will address challenges such as water management, waste management, and ecosystem restoration and conservation, seeking to promote effective and sustainable strategies in these areas.

Imagina Radio Podcast explores lessons and opportunities for regional innovation at InnovaInvest Copernicus

Panama's Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation (Senacyt) produced the podcast Imagina Radio, which recently highlighted key insights from the first edition of InnovaInvest Copernicus, which took place in October at Senacyt's headquarters. This event focused on linking innovative initiatives leveraging data from the European Union’s Earth Observation Program, Copernicus, with funding opportunities for their implementation.
