The official program of TICAL2025 is now available online. This year, the conference will be held under the theme Innovation that Transforms, reaffirming its position as the most important event in Latin America and the Caribbean focused on information and communication technologies (ICT) applied to higher education, research, and innovation.
From November 10 to 14, TICAL2025 will bring together leaders, experts, and academic communities from across the region in San José, Costa Rica. The event is organized by RedCLARA and the BELLA II project, with the support of RedCONARE of Costa Rica, and will feature a full week of activities designed to strengthen collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of impactful digital solutions.
The preliminary program, already available online, includes the schedule and main topics of the keynote presentations, and will be updated regularly to reflect new activities and details. Among the central themes for this edition are digital security as a safeguard for science and society, education as the foundation for building the future of knowledge, digital health as a life-saving tool, impactful science driven by collaborative research for regional development, smart academic services as engines of innovation for the academic community, and advanced digital infrastructures as the backbone of regional research.
While the main presentations will take place from Tuesday, November 11 to Thursday, November 13, the program will run from Monday, November 10 to Friday, November 14, incorporating specialized side events for targeted audiences that will enrich the overall experience. The week will open with an athletic race on Monday to foster community spirit and motivation among participants, and will close on Friday with the Annual Meeting of the Regional Cybersecurity Group of the National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), a closed and strategic space for addressing current and future challenges in protecting the region’s critical knowledge infrastructures.
TICAL2025 promotes dialogue and collaboration among technical, scientific, and administrative communities, with the aim of fostering regional projects and collaborative solutions with high social impact.
