The Forum of the SPIDER Project Returns Strong to TICAL2025

The SPIDER Forum—Dialogues for Digital Transformation between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean (DIF) will once again be part of TICAL2025, to be held in San José, Costa Rica. This space will take place as a parallel event on November 13, within the framework of the annual gathering that brings together leaders and experts in technology and higher education from across the region.

The DIF is an initiative of the SPIDER project that seeks to turn the strategic commitments made between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean into concrete actions, with a people-centered approach and a focus on the sustainability of digital ecosystems.

The forum convenes policymakers, researchers, academics, and representatives from the productive sector of both regions to promote effective digital transformation, relying on key infrastructures such as the BELLA network. Its purpose is to facilitate dialogue and foster alliances that accelerate this process and turn declarations into tangible outcomes.

About TICAL2025

With the motto “Innovation that Transforms,” TICAL2025 is organized by RedCLARA and RedCONARE of Costa Rica and will bring together leaders, specialists, and decision-makers in technology and digital transformation from higher education institutions across Latin America and the Caribbean.

This 14th edition will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cariari Hotel, in San José, Costa Rica, and will offer a space for strategic exchange around six key thematic areas: e-Science, Sustainability, e-Health, Security, Infrastructure, and Services.

As the flagship conference of the region’s National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), TICAL promotes collaboration, innovation, and digital development in the Latin American academic and scientific ecosystem.
