On 7 August at 4.00 pm UTC, CopernicusLAC Chile will host the webinar ‘Dynamics and transport of pelagic Sargassum’, an open event inviting RedCLARA members and the scientific community of Latin America and the Caribbean to watch the live stream via the CopernicusLAC Chile YouTube channel. The talk will be presented by José Manuel Echevarría, PhD candidate in Marine Sciences at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Marine Sciences (CICIMAR) of the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) in Mexico.
(Source: Communications CopernicusLAC-Chile) The seminar will address the dynamics of pelagic sargassum in the Caribbean Sea and will present a multispectral satellite detection framework for estimating its coverage, as well as Lagrangian modelling of its ocean transport.
The event represents an opportunity for researchers, academics and professionals interested in Earth observation, ocean monitoring, satellite remote sensing and the study of Sargassum dynamics in the Caribbean Sea.
We invite RedCLARA members and the scientific community in Latin America and the Caribbean to join us and follow this live stream on the CopernicusLAC Chile YouTube channel at: https://go.cmm.uchile.cl/seminario7agosto
